Roger Norton RIP

Congratulations, Roger

It is with deep sadness to report the death of Roger Norton after a long illness in hospital.

Roger, aged 77, joined the Hoppers when located at the Dysart Arms in the 1960s as a member of the Colts side but then
went into the ’ Senior’ sides. He played mostly for the Second XV and as such was a very enthusiastic and hard working ’ Winger’. He has kept in touch and attended one or two of the later Club Lunches at McFarlane Lane .

He can be seen in the picture in the centre surrounded by his former team-mates from the Dysart Arms days:- Ian Cameron-Webb, Cliff Jones, Glyn Williams, Dick Maybe, Alun Harries, Terry Cox and Jon Dance.

Our thoughts are with his daughter, Amanda, and the rest of his family
