Tony Saull 1948-2025 - Update
14th July 2025

It is with sincere regret that I need to announce that Tony Saull has passed away last week at the age of 77. Tony joined the club in the sixties when Grasshoppers were based at the Dysart Arms in Richmond and was an ever present 1st XV players though the seventies and continued to play until the late eighties.
Apart from being such a gifted player, Tony was a dedicated tourist on Easter tours and was renowned for his witty one liners and was infamous for disrupting club AGMs into fits of laughter.
Our deepest sympathies are with his daughter, Rebecca, his son, Daniel and his brother, Malcolm, who also shared a distinctive career at Grasshoppers.
The funeral will take place on Wednesday 6th August at Mortlake Crematorium at 2.40pm, and afterwards at Grasshoppers
