Young Guns Step Up For Hoppers

Seniors: First XV: 14th February 2026

Old Priorians 79 19 Grasshoppers

Grasshoppers travelled the short distance to play Old Priorians at Wasps due to their ground being unplayable. G’s fielded a much-changed side which included 6 players under 18 year which included Marco Murcia and Jaden Daniel-Lledo making their first team debuts off the bench. Campbell Bright started his second game in the first team at open side, backed up by last years Colts, Sam Pusey and Chibueze Atuegwu making their third appearances for the first team with the now established winger, Cameron Isenberg. G’s are very proud of their Colts & Junior Section from where all these lads came from. It was a great experience for them to play at level 6 at such a young age which bodes well for the Club.

The game itself was tough against a strong Old P’s side but G’s were unlucky not to get a bonus point being pegged to 3 tries from full-back, Chris Brown, hooker, Matt Coakley and Skipper and scrum-half, Rohan Love with 2 conversions from stand-off, Charlie Lecuyer.

Another week’s break now for the 6 Nations and G’s next game will be on 28th February, 2pm ko.
