Home and Away Difficult Day for Hoppers

Seniors: First XV: 20th September 2025

Belsize Park 57 14 Grasshoppers

Grasshoppers, despite some tremendous hard work behind the scenes, fielded two sides with regular faces missing from their respective squads. This resulted in heavy losses in both games despite two spirited performances. The first team lost 9 tries to 2 with tries from flanker, Deji Olajide and centre, Chris Brown with stand-off, Charlie Lecuyer slotting 2 conversions. However, debut prop, Tine Mano showed great promise.

G’s 2nd XV lost at home to Finchley 2nd XV but many players like, full-back, Cameron Isenburg, number eight, Harry, replacement Conor Cain and second row, Mannix Taylor, stepped up and put in some fine performances.

It’s a rest week next week as we cheer on the Red Roses to win the World Cup and we return on 4th October with a home game against Marlow 2pm kick off.
