Another Bonus Point For Hoppers
Seniors: First XV: 29th November 2025

Grasshoppers travelled the short distance to Windsor, surprising as it may seem, to play in Berkshire for the first time since the leagues were formed back in 1987.
The home side kicked off, down the slope in the shadow of Windsor Castle on a gloomy afternoon with advent almost upon us.
The home side started stronger and despite some heroic G’s defense were eventually, after seven minutes open the score at 7-0 with a converted try. This was shortly followed by a penalty to make it 10-0.
G’s though, soon got themselves back in the game with a well taken try from full-back, Chris Brown following some excellent forward driving, and with the conversion added by scrum-half, Rohan Love the score moved to 10-7.
However, just before half time, Windsor got a freak of a try when a G’s clearance kick ricocheted off their player only to be taken over by a Windsor player to make the half time score 17-7.
There were great second half hopes for G’s with a slight breeze and the slope and things looked good as prop, Aaron Sheehan broke the blindside to put stand-off, Finn Skinner in for a try converted by Rohan Love to narrow the score to 17-14.
So with the last quarter to play G’s looked good for the win but a lack of patience on G’s side saw them give up possession at crucial times and allowed Windsor to score 2 unconverted tries to make it 27-14.
G’s though, finished the game the stronger as their forwards took control and one drive saw second row, James Kent cruise over for a try which when converted by Rohan Love, moved G’s with 7 points and into losing bonus point territory.
But despite continued attempts to win the game they ran out of time and move into December in 9th place, one place above Windsor with all to play for.
Next week G’s are at home to Harpenden 2pm kick off
