Dogs Policy 24th April 2026
24th April 2026

Dear Members,
Following the recent communication confirming the implementation of the New Dog Policy, the Committee is disappointed to note that there have been several reports of blatant disregard for the policy and its strict guidelines.
The policy was approved after a trial period and introduced on the clear understanding that all members would comply fully and without exception. Unfortunately, this has not been the case. Incidents have already been observed where dogs are not being properly supervised and key conditions of the policy are being ignored.
This behaviour is unacceptable. The Dog Policy is not optional, nor is it open to individual interpretation. It exists to ensure the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all members and visitors to the Club, including those who may be uncomfortable around dogs. Please take time to read the policy and view the Site Plan (Appendix A) which is part of the policy and that indicates the areas where Dogs are to be strictly restricted to (ie. areas shaded in yellow).
As stated in the initial communication, "the actions of one or a few may have consequences for everyone.” Please continue to provide your feedback to the club as the committee continue to closely monitor compliance with this new policy. Any further breaches will be taken seriously and may result in immediate action, including the reinstatement of the No Dogs Policy without further notice.
We urge all members to reflect on their responsibilities and to act with the consideration and respect expected within the Club. Continued non-compliance will disadvantage everyone and will not be tolerated. Your cooperation is required to ensure that the policy can remain in place.
Yours Sincerely,
The Executive Committee
